This tool uses typical coverage rates. Always check your paint tin and round up slightly to allow for touch-ups and waste.

How the paint coverage calculator works

We calculate the total wall (and optional ceiling) area from your room dimensions, subtract doors and windows, then multiply by the number of coats. Finally, we divide by the typical coverage of your paint type to estimate how many litres you need.

This gives a realistic starting point so you don’t under-order or waste money buying far more paint than necessary.
